Making Heat Reuse Work – Webinar #1
HRP’s first webinar introducing heat reuse essentials between data centre operators and district heating networks (30 March 2026). This introductory webinar outlined the foundations for successful collaboration between data centre operators and district heating network (DHN) operators. It explained the technical, operational, commercial, and governance realities that determine whether heat reuse is feasible, reliable, and mutually valuable. Participants gained a shared baseline understanding of risks, constraints, priorities, and opportunities – before entering detailed design or commercial discussions. The session introduced the concept of the Heat Reuse Platform (HRP) and how it can support structured matching across Europe.
HRP @ OCP Summit Barcelona, 29-30 April
The Open Comput Project (OCP) Summit 2026 in Barcelona (29-30 April) saw a presentation of the Heat Reuse Platform. Alberto Ravagni (Net Zero Innovation Hub, HRP Steering Committee member) presented the Heat Reuse Platform, its objectives and where it stands in its journey.
The OCP Summit serves as a platform where global technical leaders come together to tackle the issues related to data centre sustainability, energy efficiency and heat reuse in the region.
